Auto-trading algorithms - Hybrid Approach and Backfill Entry
Choose how each account trades automatically - the default Hybrid Approach or Backfill Entry - and what every setting on the algorithm row does.
Every trading account (the demo included) has an algorithm row under Trading → Settings. It decides which signals the account trades automatically and how it enters and exits.

The algorithms
| Algorithm | In short |
|---|---|
| Hybrid Approach Algorithm (default) | Takes only the flow model's strongest calls, skips a LONG into resistance and a SHORT into support, does not trade a sideways market, sizes the stop to the coin's current volatility, locks a small profit early and then trails. |
| Backfill Entry Algorithm (pullback) | Everything in Hybrid Approach, and the chart structure and UT Bot must point the same way. Instead of entering at once it waits inside the signal candle for a pullback to that candle's expected low (LONG) or high (SHORT) - a better price. If no pullback comes before the candle closes it enters at the close. Same stop, lock and trail. Trades less often, aims for more per trade. |
| Standard flow model | Every flow-model call above your confidence bar, no extra filters. Mainly for comparison. |
Both main algorithms were tested on a year of 1-minute data on 50 coins before release. The Backfill Entry version made roughly twice the result per trade of the Hybrid Approach in that test, with fewer trades. Past results do not guarantee future ones - run a demo first.
The settings on the row
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| strength >= | Minimum strength of the model's call compared with the coin's own bar. Higher = fewer, stronger trades. |
| ADX >= | No trade while the trend strength is under this (a sideways market). 0 = off. |
| stop x ATR | Stop distance as a multiple of the coin's recent hourly range, kept within sensible limits. |
| location filter | No LONG into a resistance zone, no SHORT into a support zone. |
| candle range >= (Backfill) | Trade only when the signal candle's expected range is at least this % of the price - very quiet coins are skipped. |
| Flow + SMC + UT agree (Backfill) | All three must point the same way. |
| skip when UT move done (Backfill) | Optional: skip when the UT trade already made its typical move. Off by default - in testing it removed most trades without improving the result per trade. |
Changes apply to the next signal. Each account keeps its own settings, so you can run two demos side by side to compare.
Good practice
- Start on the demo account and watch a few days of trades.
- Real-money accounts use exactly the same rules; enable them only with an amount you are comfortable with.
- The new trades switch pauses new entries; open positions keep their stop, lock and trail.
