Demo trading: paper results with real market data

The automatic Demo account on every plan - balance, equity, win rate, profit factor, drawdown, the equity curve, Ask me / Auto, pairs and Reset.

What the demo account is

Every user, on every plan including Starter and trials, gets a Demo trading account the first time the Trading page loads. It is a paper account on the same executor as a real exchange account: signals are sized from the pair budget, filled at the live price with the configured taker fee and slippage, stopped and closed by the same monitor, and charged the exchange fee schedule and funding. Nothing is sent to an exchange and no API key is needed. The point is to judge the signals with real market data before risking anything.

Defaults: exchange Bybit (for the fee schedule), balance 10 000 USDT (demo_balance_usdt in Settings > Trading), execution Auto, every pair of your watchlist attached with a daily budget of balance / 20 (500 USDT) at 5x, 3 trades per pair per day. Pairs added to the watchlist later join the demo automatically while it is enabled.

The demo card

At the top of the Trading page:

Figure Meaning
balance Realised balance after fees and funding.
equity Balance plus the unrealised net PnL of open demo trades.
net P&L Realised net PnL since the last reset, and as % of the starting balance.
win rate Winning closed trades / all closed trades (W / L / total shown underneath).
profit factor Gross profit / gross loss. Above 1 means profitable; ∞ when there is no losing trade yet.
max drawdown Largest peak-to-trough fall of the equity curve.

The chart is the equity curve: equity after each closed trade since the last reset. The Pairs list shows every attached pair with its net PnL and trade count on hover. Ask me | Auto switches the execution mode (see Exchange trading accounts); Pause stops new demo trades without closing anything; Details opens the full account panel with budgets, open positions and the trade log.

Reset

Reset asks for confirmation, then closes open demo trades at market, archives the trade history (it disappears from the log and the statistics) and restores the balance to the demo balance setting. Statistics and the equity curve start again from that moment.

Limits

The demo account is paper only: it cannot be switched to live and has no API keys. It does not count against your plan's number of exchange accounts. Open-position numbers (mark, unrealised PnL, fees, funding, liquidation) are local estimates and carry the badge paper; on a live exchange account the same columns come from the exchange.
