Chart controls
Timeframe buttons, MA / VOL / PAT overlays, the scrollbar, the Latest button and the data-health chip.
Toolbar
The row above every chart has the nine timeframe buttons (1m to 1M) on the left and three overlay toggles on the right:
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| MA | Moving averages: SMA20 (yellow), SMA60 (blue), SMA200 (purple). |
| VOL | Volume histogram under the candles. |
| PAT | Pattern overlay: dashed lines for a forming pattern, solid for a confirmed one, with the neckline, target and invalidation of the best pattern on this timeframe. |
Overlay preferences are remembered per browser. The chosen timeframe is remembered per pair, so a widget and its detail page always open on the timeframe you last used.
The top-left corner of the chart shows O H L C V of the candle under the mouse, or of the last candle when nothing is hovered.
Moving around
The bar under the chart is the scrollbar:
- ◀ and ▶ shift the view back or forward by about 60% of the visible width.
- Drag the slider to seek anywhere in the loaded history.
- You can also drag the chart itself or use the mouse wheel to zoom.
- Older candles load automatically when you reach the left edge, up to 20,000 bars. The counter on the right (
… bars) tells you how many are loaded.
Latest jumps to the newest candle, re-fits the price axis and follows live again. It is highlighted while the chart is following. Scrolling back switches following off so the chart does not jump under you while you study old price action; press Latest to resume.
Maximising a chart
Dashboard widgets are sized by the column count (cols 1 to 4 at the top right of the dashboard). One column gives the tallest widget chart. For the largest view open the pair detail page with the expand icon in the widget header: the chart there is 460 pixels tall on a desktop screen and scales down on tablets and phones.
Pattern drawings from history
On the pair detail page, click a row in Pattern history to draw that pattern on the chart. The chart switches to the pattern's timeframe if needed and focuses on the pattern's time range with its pivots, neckline, target and invalidation. Switching timeframe clears the focus.
Data-health chip
An amber chip may appear at the top right of the chart:
- data mismatch detected · repairing / repaired: the backend noticed a gap or a divergence between stored candles and live data and is reloading recent candles. The chip hides ten minutes after the warning.
- live price differs from history by x%: the live price and the last stored close disagree by more than the tolerance. Stored candles may be stale or from a different source; recent candles are repaired automatically.
If a chip stays for a long time, run Settings > Data source check > Test data sources and read Troubleshooting.
Empty chart states
- Loading candles… while the first request is in flight.
- No candles yet for … Backfill in progress or source unavailable. The pair is still preparing, or no source can serve this symbol.
Tip: charts cost little, so stopped pairs keep streaming. If you only want to watch a pair without signals, stop it with the widget toggle rather than removing it.
