Settings reference

Every section of the Settings page, what each field does, and which sections are yours versus the administrator's in the hosted service.

Saving

Changes are held until you click Save settings at the top of the page; Discard drops them. The status text reads Unsaved changes or All changes saved.

Who can change what

In the hosted service the settings page returns a scope. Subscribers can change their own Alerts (sounds, browser notifications, Telegram, signal cooldown) and Trading risk values; these are stored per user. The desktop notification switches, data sources, analysis, crash radar, storage, deep analysis, macro events and the data source check are engine-wide and are hidden for subscribers; only administrators see them. On a local single-user install every section is available.

Deep analysis (admin)

At the top of the page. Tick pairs (all / none), optionally set from and to dates, and click Run deep analysis. Rows show status, stage, progress, the last report (bars per timeframe, patterns, crashes, samples, combinations per horizon), when the pair was last analysed and the stored candle range. See Admin: engine pairs, queue and deep analysis.

Data sources (admin)

Field Meaning
Priority Order of binance, bybit, mexc; the first healthy one feeds each pair.
CoinGecko context BTC dominance and market cap for the top bar and the crash model.
Fear & Greed index Daily index from alternative.me.
Bulk history from data.binance.vision Fast monthly-zip backfill.
Demo mode Synthetic offline data for exploring the interface. Takes effect for newly added pairs.

Analysis (admin)

Field Default Meaning
Timeframes analysed all nine Timeframes the pattern engine and consensus use.
Confidence threshold 70% Global bar for signals and GO calls; per-pair override in the pair header.
signal expiry (bars) 12 A confirmed signal expires if price does not enter the zone within this many bars. Also the lifetime of a resting limit entry.
min pattern samples 20 Below this count pattern statistics are shrunk toward the prior.
fast lane (s) 5 Interval of the cascade detector and live price broadcast.
horizon preference shortest shortest acceptable horizon or strongest conviction.
horizon margin (0-1) 0.75 A shorter horizon is accepted when its conviction is at least this fraction of the best.
max horizon (min) 1440 Longer horizons are never suggested.
swing scales (ATR x) 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8 ATR multiples defining the five swing scales.

Crash radar (admin)

Crash radar enabled, Watch threshold (40%), Warning threshold (60%), Critical threshold (80%), always watch (default BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, monitored even when not on any watchlist), horizons (min) (15, 60, 240, 1440) and retrain every (h) (168: automatic model retraining interval once at least one pair has completed deep analysis).

AI second opinion (admin)

Enabled shows the AI card on every pair page; Ask automatically on every new engine call asks once per new LONG / SHORT consensus. AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, xAI, DeepSeek, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, Ollama, custom endpoint) with the provider's API key stored encrypted per provider (only the last four characters are shown; Replace / Remove), model (free text, empty = provider default), base URL (custom endpoints), trading role of the AI (advisory / confirm / veto, see the AI article), daily cap (all users) (300), per user per day (25, hosted mode), reuse window (300 s: a fresh opinion on the pair is served instead of a new call), cooldown per pair (60 s) and max output tokens (1200). See AI second opinion in Signals and consensus.

Alerts (user)

Field Meaning
Sounds enabled, Volume Master switch and volume for browser sounds.
Per-kind mute (this browser) Mute Long signal, Short signal, Crash warning, Crash critical siren or Trade fill in this browser only; play previews each sound.
Browser notifications Notifications when the tab is in the background (allow them with Enable notifications in the top bar).
Desktop notifications, Desktop notification sound, test desktop notification OS toasts and beeps from the backend process; local installs and admins only.
telegram bot token, telegram chat id Your own bot; see Alerts.
signal cooldown (min) Minimum minutes between two signal alerts on the same pair and timeframe (30).

Storage & appearance (admin for storage)

1m candle retention (days) (400; older 1-minute candles are pruned, higher timeframes are kept), the backend bind address for information, and the Theme (dark or light, per browser; also the sun/moon button in the top bar).

Data source check, Macro events, About

Test data sources pings each exchange from the server. Macro events lists upcoming high-impact events and lets admins add manual ones. About lists the free data sources.

Trading (user)

These live on the Trading page under Global risk settings, not on the Settings page: max_daily_loss_pct (5), max_concurrent_positions (5), loss_cooldown_min (60), budget_reset_hour_local (0), taker_fee (0.0005), slippage_bps (3) and Auto-close longs on crash critical (on). Save with Save risk settings.

Environment and file

On a local install everything above is also in data/config.yaml, created on first run. Environment variables override it: CS_PORT, CS_HOST, CS_DATA_DIR, CS_DEMO_MODE, CS_MULTI_USER, CS_BASE_URL. Platform-level settings of the hosted service (brand, support email, BTCPay, SMTP, trial length, referral percentages) are in the admin console under Site settings, not here.
